Default Battery relocation and inline fuse?

I am in the process of relocating my battery to the fender location on my EM1.I was just wondering if an inline fuse is needed?I know most of the time when extending the wires a fuse is needed in case of a short but in my case the wires arent really being exended just relocated to a better location. Thanks

If your not extending the batt. cables a fuse is not needed, however, if cables go through any kind of metal a fuse should be used along with proper grommets. 94
