Default AM27c256 chip - what for?

So I have an p05 ecu with a AM27c256 socket and chip. I searched around for it and couldn't figure out what this chip does. something about data collector. If anyone knows what this chip does that would be great. thanks. ecu came out of a boosted car, fyi.

Use a burner to read the chip. Open it in multiple softwares until you find the one that it was originally made with, probably Crome or Uberdata.
