What color wire should I look for to wire something to 'ignition'?

Default What color wire should I look for to wire something to 'ignition'?

Got a wiring problem that's running my battery down when it sits for a few days..

I want to run it to 'ignition on'....what color combo wire should I be looking for and where's a good place under the dash to do it at? TIA!!

Thick guage wire at the ignition harness, black with a yellow stripe.

you could plug into one of the empty slots in your fuse box.

Ditto........in your fuse panel there resides a row of male ports...one of them will provide ignition...not to mention battery...lights etc.

I'm sure these guys are right but if you can't figure it out you can just go off of your radio fuse. I used to wire my radar detectors to that fuse because it shuts off with the car. Just strip the wire and stick it in with one of the posts, I wouldn't suggest doing it on large draw items without upgrading the fuse, plus it's just a very ghetto way of doing it.
