JDM K20A Swap Issues HELP
just bought a engineless RSX-S and picked up a JDM k20 with JDM ECU and JDM Engine Harness, apparently the dash connector for the harness is cut and only other option atm is getting a USDM engine harness from a k20a2 how can i make this work without using k-pro please help!
you want to use the usdm harnes....remember the ecu's, fuse boxes and drivers are all on oppiset sides........fyi, the type-r ecu is not the way to go....its tuned for jdm 94 octan gas and any or the 05-06 type-r's are speed limited at 112kph(80 ish mph) per jdm law.....go with kpro
agreed. You'll need the USDM harness and I would definitely look into saving up for k-pro. I thought I read on CRSX that the JDM ECU wouldn't work with our cars but maybe I'm wrong.
thanks for all the help got the car to start and sounds GREAT! ran into another issue with the USDM throttle cable being too long, the throttle cable that came with the JDM k20a was cut for some unknown reason, i ordered in a throttle cable from the dealer for a USDM type S and its toooooo long .... im currently looking for a USDM type S throttle cable bracket to see if that fixes the problem any help from anybody would b greatly appreciated thanks!

Can't bash when you did it by yourself without ever doing one before. Looks good to me ****. And i would highly suggest K-Pro. You'll be happier with that choice in the end trust me espically since you'll finally be able to unlock the true potential of that K20A...
