JDM vs. USDM ITR motor
My friend has a 92 hatchback and was wondering if it would be worth getting a USDM ITR or JDM ITR motor swap, if he might go turbo down the road. Or just get a GSR or LS swap instead?

JDM motors are cheaper to get but they require a little more (Not really much) to run. They are slightly higher cr then a USDM motor but you won't really feel it. Get the best deal possible for the motor that should be the determining factor.

The fag0t who stole mine didn't pay **** for it... I'd go so far as to say that most B18C5's are acquired for free.

I understand your upset Cheeze, but generalize please. I had a ITR once and I went to a hybrid legatimately for a bunch of reasons.
I believe the sig you guys are refering to said something like: "Not every Type R motor in a hybrid is stolen, but every stolen Type R motor ends up in a hybrid".
And that is probably a pretty true statement.

I say for turbo...LS all the way....starts off with a lower compression ratio and better stroke and stuff for turbo...and if you ever get bored with that...ls vtec's pretty kool too...
Ground clearance is overrated.
I can't believe that a gsr motor is better for b00st compared to either us/jp itr. How can that be true?
Anyhoo, get the better deal. If those are your only two choices, go with the cheaper, which is probably the us itr motor. (that's my guess)

Yah get the higher compression motor for boost

*end sarcasm*

I'm sure there are better motors for turbos than either the itr or gsr.

The compression on the ITR motor isn't much higher then a GSR motor besides you can still pop your motor on lower compression. You don't have good tuning it doesn't matter what parts you throw @ it.
Also the JDM ITR motors are cheaper (legit) then USDM motors.
