if you want performance; go w/ the cb7! ive got a 92 sedan and got my folks and 94 lx coupe. both are great cars and fun to drive.
swap a h22 in the cb7 and call it a day. the cd is a heavier chassis, but has a lot of aftermarket support than the cb7 imo.
you can probably find a cb7 cheaper than a cd anyways.
check this out, www.cb7tuner.com
lots of great ideas and info there

Its all on you how like the the two. If you like how the way the CD looks like then go with that; otherwise, I'd go with a CB if you want lighter chasis.

It's all a matter of preference like nuss said, but the cd chassis would be easiest to swap an h22 into, especially if you got an EX

If you want performance go with the car with the most aftermarket support. Right now that is the CD. It's also newer and better looking IMO But I would suggest you choose the one you like/can afford.

Where is everyone getting these comparative weights from? The CD doesn't weigh that much more than a CB trim/trim.

Honda shop manual

90-93 DX = 2 844 lbs
94-97 DX = 2 822 lbs

90-93 EX = 2 910 lbs (Fully loaded w/Leather)
94-97 EX = 3 020 lbs (Fully loaded w/Leather)

20 - 30 lbs difference is hardly a performance edge. I already got rid of 30-40 lbs in my CD just by swapping out the seats.

Here we are with the weight comparisons. Straight from the Honda shop manuals.

90-93 DX = 2 844 lbs
94-97 DX = 2 822 lbs

90-93 EX = 2 910 lbs (Fully loaded w/Leather)
94-97 EX = 3 020 lbs (Fully loaded w/Leather)

Yeah, they're not far from eachother but of course CB is lighter but not by much. Lol.

As long as the OP gets rid of a few things, he'll drop 30-40lbs in no time like
GhostAccord.

Actually a 20-30 lb weight difference would be a performance edge in a gutted purpose built track car. But in a street roller I think we can say the CD & CB weigh pretty much the same.

personally a 93 cb7 coupe i think is one of the best looking cars ever, but the CD wagon was in Fast & Furious 1 if that matters at all, hector drove it. personally id go with the cb7 since its more old skool and it looks uberJDM with right hand drive and JDM headlights lol.

in hindsight this is the dumbest sound post ive ever made

cb coupe > cd coupe
cd sedan > cb sedan
cb wagon > cd wagon

My opinion
Old skool look=CB
Newer skool look=CD
Wagon=CB
2 door=CD
4 door= CD, but would't be mad if CB

i love the look of my cd coupe. but i also love how the cb reminds me of an teggy. but in my opinion a well done cd looks better than a comparable cb. i really dont think that weight is a big enough difference to be the deciding factor. i think that it should come down to which body you like better and which you are able to afford. i have seen some nice cb's for cheap around here, but cd's are either beat up or pretty expensive most of the time.

my advice. pick which one you like the body of more, then try to find one in your price range. and take comfort in the fact that either way you are getting a good platform to do what you want with, which happens to hold its value very well.
