Default Tires affecting dyno numbers?

How much will changing tires affect dyno numbers? I.E. from 195-55-15 to 205-50-15.

friction + extra weight = more rotational mass.

you planning to dyno?

so negligible that it's nothing to worry about.

It'd be one thing if your wheels + tires weighed 40lbs each.

Tire pressure will. I believe the higher the pressure the higher the numbers.

The key is less resistance.

That's probably only true if you go from like 5psi to 35psi. Any reasonable psi would probably be unnoticeable.

True. But does anyone have info on tire sizes or weights?

You can figure the diameter here:
http://robrobinette.com/tire_diameter.htm

The 205s will be somewhat smaller

This doesn't have the same widths, but you can see that going from 185 to 195 is between 2-3lbs.

Thus around 8whp you would lose with the 205s?

I'll just dyno with the new tires. Numbers aren't really all that important.

Size won't matter but weight will.

Dynos can calculate your effective gear ratio from the rpm count on your engine and the rpm of the roller.

The tires are 3 lbs more than stock. What's the formula for calculating how much hp difference?
