So I ordered a buncha parts for my tuneup. I tried to replaced the PCV valve. I also got a new rubber garment for it so it seals good (dunno how good the old one was)
I popped out the PCV outa the lil case it sits in. that went fine.So i tried to take the PCV off the hose...it wouldnt budge. So i tried to take off the rubber garment outa the lil box...that wouldnt move either. so i tried to carfully persway it to come out with a screwdriver...BAD IDEA! the damn thing popped it self into the PCV box!. So i jacked up the car, hoping I can just unbolt the box and fix it.. I took out the 2 bolts that hold it in directly. But I guess there are more that I am missing. . Question is. How do i remove the box? and how do I get the pvc valve to get outa the hose?

I have a helms manual. I couldnt find this in the book tho. If anyone can point me to a page that would be great Any other help would be wonderfull.

Alright, I got the bracket out that is in the way...Question tho...If I pop out the box that the PCV valve goes into...will oil poor onto me?

i'm gonna give this another bump but damn....it's PCV guys, not PVC!

 

Changing mine cured all my fluctuating idle problems.

Anyway, I got the box out and all. You need to undo the braket thats over it, and that holds up the IM. I need to order a part from acura. (Rubber O-Ring) mine looks a lil sctretched (better safe then sorry)
Ya, I have idleing probs too. But Im sure this huge tuneup im doin should fix all this. Oh ya, my old pcv valve was al lil stuck. Not soo free-moving like the new one.
