Icon3 ecu compatibility? please help

okay so i currently have a 95 accord with f22b sohc vtec
the motor is just about done so i found a new swap
its an f22b dohc non vtec which came in some 90-96 accord and preludes
since the ecu im running now is the stock ecu which came with the motor and what not which is vtec, would i be able to use that same ecu for this new NON-vtec swap?
i figured its possible just i would throw a cel for no vtec solenoid or whatever and wasnt sure if it would affect the performance of the new swap
if not what ecu should i be looking for to go with this new swap???
any help would be greatly appreciated as im hoping to order the swap tomorrow

try to find the dohc f22b ecu, its a P39, but you should be ok with a 914(dohc h23 non-vtec), or a pt3, pt6 which came in the 90-93 accord and 92-96 ludes that had the f22a

alright i found a p39 ecu but it is chipped to redline at 8200
my only problem is i have an automatic so how would that ecu work with the tranny ecu?
my car currently redlines at 6000 something and obviously my trans ecu tells the tranny when to shift depending on the rpm so say i go full throttle to redline in my car now and my tranny would automatically shift at redline..if my ecu is chipped then when i go full throttle to 8200 wouldnt my tranny ecu still tell my tranny to shift at that 6000 mark?

If you go that high you can say bye bye to your engine, pull the chip and cut the jumper, that will return it to the stock settings, which will run the engine the way it's ment to

Don't use the pt3 you can't tune it, get a P06 instead and chip it

I've heard of my buddies using LS 90-93 ECU on F22As which they say it pulls alot harder by using that ECU. Don't quote that on me though but thats what they told me.

If you don't know anyone who can chip ECUs do you know anyone that can tune them? Not much sense in having a chipped ECU if you don't have someone too tune it.

Have you looked into maybe buying a chipped ECU. There are quite a few reputable online stores that sell them with basemaps. Here are just a few;

Xenocron.com
Phearable.net
HRtuning.com

There are three companies that sell chipped ECU's. Complete with basemaps and everything you would need to tune, if you so desire. Xenocron's tech center has lots of info on chipping and getting started tuning ECU's.

Hey Ghost you might know but can I run a P39 ECU in a F22a Sohc engine? Thing is I just bought a P39 Ecu for $50 flat, just because it was so cheap I can re sell it even if I can't use it. Can I use this ECU? Thanks man, you're the best.

If you can run the F22b Dohc with the Pt3-Pt6, you should be able to run the F22a Sohc with the P39, that is my theory. I'm going to experiment and try to run it, could be fun

But before you call me dumb I bought the ECU 1, because it was cheap and has a high re sale value, and 2 because I may get the F22B Dohc engine.
