i'm thinking about buying a set of these D2's but i would like to know what any of you think about them.

i really want PIC's, but they are out of stock for 96-00 civics

 

^ I suggest you wait until they have the PICs in stock.
Heard D2's are just cheaply made yet overpriced. They HAVE GOT to have PICs SOMEWHERE in the world.

 

my friend has em. lets say now he wants new suspension. they're like 2 months old tops.

 

go to PICs distributors and see if they have them in stock. D2, Megan, Blox, Buddy Club, KSport... its all the same shock made in Taiwan with different names on them. If you want a good coilover for cheap hit up the Progress ones.

 

had mine for over a year with no complaints. even did a couple hdpe's with them and they performed flawlessly. a few years ago i would not have bought these b/c they were having quality issues, which people normally refer back to when anyone asks about them. i did a lot of research before i bought them and i'd say in the last 2 years or so their quality has greatly improved. i'd say do some research on any suspension set-up you plan on buying, the kind where you actually research and not ask questions online to get bias answers

after few months you'll need to replace them.

 

That's not necessarily true.
Some people just prefer 'higher quality/well known' ****. That is all. I had function and form type one's for a while and hella people said they are ****.... I didn't think so. Lol.

To me, people get different experiences, just like any other car part out there.

i have function form type one's coilovers to0 and im L0ving it! No problems at all. Had it for 3 years and still going

 

I looked at F&F's, anyone try the type 2's I'm lookin to spend between 7-900. Anyone have any reviews about the Tanabe's or Tein basics

 

Contact me, I should be able to get them this week if you want them. I'm a PIC distributor. As for D2, we use to carry them until our mass distributor stopped carrying them because all the returns he was seeing.
