I have a 4.7 jdm tranny and the lsd took a crap on me, I think it was aftermarket but im not sure what brand. Either way I need a new one and suprisingly I've heard good things with the obx lsd. Has anyone used this? any additional info?
its basicly same price as a used factory lsd
Any other suggestions? and no im not blowing $1k on a quaife

MFactory? list for like 650.
know people that have run OBXs. some are great. but i do remember one saying it rattled around and installed it anyway. do recall seeing him only spinning one tire when he was at the track lol
still trying to break my ITR diff. but i will probably buy an MFactory or OBX as they are both cheaper than a Quaife.

sorry. too drunk to remember what i read. only thing i can remember is if you have aftermarket lsd. just a thought. did you take the lsd out and take it apart. maybe you only need to replace the clutch and trace the maker for part/s. if im off just ignore me.
One of the most important parts of the entire car and you're trying to save a couple hundred dollars?
Seriously, it's an OBX part. OBX. They are designed for guys in 93 Civics with B-series swaps in them who roll around with 3 differently colored body panels on them.
Buy an OEM diff or pony up and get a Quaife. Buying a cheap LSD is just a problem waiting to happen. And most of the folks who give good reviews of the OBX part haven't used anything else to truly know what a good diff is.

I'd rather get a oem diff but can never seem to find one for a decent deal, people seem to think they're made of gold. Hard to trust done people to because how am I suppose to know if it's good or not?

Just buy new OEM or get a Quaife. If money is a problem, then set the project aside for a while or eat noodles for a month.
I have a brand new itr lsd that has never even seen oil that I could sell but everytime I have tryed to deal with you (your kosies and rear upper control arms) you wont even respond to me ???.
i suggest oem replacement. neither my jdm itr, nor ctr diffs have ever let me down. Quaife is good from wat i've heard from racers that have 11 second boosted hondas.
And a friend of mine actually sold his perfectly good itr diff for 200US last month! ( lol yes he's a s****), but u barely missed out.

I really have no use for a quaife, I drive my car less then 1000 miles a year and almost stock motor, I have a temporary b16 in there now, not like I'm going to the track every other week. The tranny is just sitting im my shed and I want to just fix it and put it back in my car is all
MFactory. Not only will you be supporting an Expo sponsor (Whoopee Doo Racing), but you'll be getting an LSD that is stronger, lighter, and has better runout than a Quaife or OEM.

mfactory
quaife
you can get a perfect OEM with shipping sent from japan for the price of an OBX
basically spend $400 on oem or 600-800 on mfactory or the Q
Quaife is your best choice if you want the best. Being one of the first differnetial companies with over 25 years of experiance and over 35,000 units sold to both motorsports teams and OEM manufacturer, im not sure you can find a better, more tested, product.
As far as I know Quife if the only compnay who meets ISO9001-2008 TS16949 quality standards and backs up their lifetime warranty.
Show me any of the above mentioned companies with this sort of track record and ill support their product.
You get what you pay for.

I thought Quaife discontinued their B-series helical LSD?
MFactory is good.
I've used OBX LSD's on a few different builds with good success.
I would use OEM if I had the choice.
