1993 Honda Accord will not start!
Hello last Thursday I started my car as usual and let it run for about fifteen minutes to warm up my car, so I could scrape my windows. After scraping my windows, I hopped in my car and put it in reverse. Once I put my car in reverse, it died. I tried to start it up again, but my car just cranked and it wouldn't turn over. All my electricals work, and my car makes a cranking sound when I turn the key...
Also I had this problem in August of '09, and the "D4" indicator on my gauges was flashing...I then changed my main relay and it fixed my problem. So yesterday I replaced the main relay again (the "D4" indicator was NOT flashing this time around) but multiple people recommended I change my relay to solve the problem, so I did. But once the new relay was installed, my car still had the same problem. It cranks and cranks, but no shows no signs of starting. So now I've ruled out the main relay and I've also ruled out my fuel pump because I can hear it when I turn the key to "on."
Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do next? I'm not car savvy and I'm at a loss right now. I desperately need my car so I can get to school....someone please help.

Check for spark. If I had to guess off of what you said so far I would say it's your ignitor. But, it still could be other things. First make sure you have spark, and that the spark is strong enough.
same exact thing happened to me ('cept I put mine in first instead of reverse) and it turned out to be the distributor. check the rotor for burn-through and if there is none, nut up for a good 400-500 fix, if you can find a good mechanic...
as others have mentioned, check for spark. here's a link that may help http://techauto.awardspace.com/ignition.html
if you find out it is your distributor, no need to waste 300-400 to have some guy spend 15min replacing it. the hardest part is remembering which order the plug wire go on the cap
I seem to be having the same problem. Last weekend, I replaced my thermostat. To help gain access to the thermostat, I removed my distributor cap and set it aside. Upon completion of replacing my tstat, I put everything back together. The car started up just fine. I drove about a quarter mile before it just died in the middle of the road. Since then. I have only been able to get the car running a handful of times, but as soon as I touch the gas, usually above 3000rpm, it will instantly die and not start. It just cranks and cranks and cranks.
Today I replaced my cap and rotor, coil and plug wires. None of those helped and the car is still just sitting in the garage cranking. When it does start, it will idle nice and smooth like nothing is wrong, but as I mentioned before, giving it gas will kill it.
I did discover this afternoon that when the key is on I am not hearing my fuel pump kick on.
I have it narrowed down to my fuel pump or my Igniter module. Do you guys have any other input? I am stumped otherwise and have not been able to drive my car for a week due to this. I just spent $250 on parts that didn't remedy my problem. Ouch.

WOOOHOOO!!
I just replaced the ignition control module in my distributor and my car fired right up!
Thank you everyone for you comments and help....I couldn't have done it without you...all in all this only costed my $53 to repair, where as it would have cost me a lot more if I would have take it to a mechanic. THANK YOU!
Also would you recommend that I still replace the spark plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotor, fuel fitler, and air filter?
Again, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!

For DIY'ers using this site for reference, that Ignition Control Module is often just called the "Igniter." It's the culprit in a lot of cold weather starting problems.
i had one that had the same problem. only mine would run during the cold weather and not in the warm weather. same flashing d4 light on and everything. i replaced the ignition switch harness, the relay, replaced the dizzy w/ one from a running car. still nothing. drove me nuts
