Personal Complaint about JDMHondaParts
Hi Guys,
Alot of you don't know me by my username, but I have been on this board for a long time. Regardless, I wanted to share my bad experience with JDM Hondaparts and to warn you to be careful who you do business with. Keep in mind that this is an isolated incident that happened with me. I am sure many of you have had great experiences with them, and likewise, many of you had bad experiences too. I am just sharing my experience. You choose to do what you feel is right. This is mainly an account that I want my friends on this board to know.
I just wanted to inform you that you should be wary of dealing with JDM HondaParts.com. I don't want to go into specifics, but they did me wrong. And the salesman, Hugh Le, is shady.
I emailed him several times with my problems on an order, and even tried to inquire about ordering more parts just to be helped. But to my dismay, he resorted to calling me whiney on an email that he sent after numerous attempts to contact him. He kept giving me the runaround and kept telling me he would do something, but never did.
Regardless, I don't plan on doing business with them anymore, and I urge you to do the same. Anything they sell, I am sure I can find you the same price, and on most occasions a better price. Just let me know if you are looking for anything specific that they sell, and I can hook you up, for a better price. (A & J Racing is a good place to start along with Mike at IPS Racing)
The only reason I ordered from them was because they had something in stock that I needed at that moment and was willing to shell out about $70 more over waiting for other places to order the part. I am determined to hit himback with what he inflicted on me. So I believe my experience should be known by all on this list.
I've already emailed my thoughts to Sheng, whom I believe to be one of the heads up there, and have yet to hear from him.
Take care...
ps. No offense to supporters and friends of JDM HondaParts. This is just a personal experience that I had with them. Take it for what it is worth. I am not here to make enemies.

Hey Guys,
Like I said, I had a problem with a salesman named Hugh Le. I never had a problem with Sheng. He has always been helpful, however, I have yet to hear from him after sending him an email about Hugh. Regardless, I am sure they are all friends so I don't think he'll give a rat's *** about my email. They are probably laughing about it right now...
I am sure your B16 will be OK.

i've never talked to anyone there that knows ****!, called like 4 times now and have been misinformed EVERY time. sucks, but i like the stuff they sell....and some of those guys are old school hardcore jdm. oh well

Just to update everyone, I did receive an email from Sheng and he was very respectable. He believes that whatever transaction happened between Hugh and I does not have anything to do with the business.
I replied and thanked him, but also let him know that what a salesman does, reflects the business directly or indirectly. And also, caused him to lose business because my inquiries about other parts were left unanswered, which indirectly did hurt sales.
A salesman is a reflection of the company that he works for. Therefore his actions must also condone a sense of responsibility to that company.

I have ordered from them before and had no hassles. They actually went out of their way to ship something the way that I wanted so that it would clear Canada Customs with no delay (taxes & brokerage)

I ordered my JDM 4-1 and heatshield from them, had prompt delivery and they were very considerate even when I accidentally gave them the wrong card number.. I'm rather curious about your post though..
I ordered parts from them (JDM Honda Parts) as well as a personal part from Hugh. However, all transactions were through Hugh.
I had a problem with the salesman, not the company, but it still directly affected my experience with the company.
Like I said, I am sure many of you had good and bad experiences, this is just a personal account. Teke it for what it is worth.

Man, Im sorry about your bad experience. I think everyone on this board has had problems with getting parts. I dont think you should stop buying from there just because u have had a bad experience. I work in the motorcycle parts business so i understand how it works. He probably just made a mistake. I just think u should just give them another chance. If i were u i wouldn't deal with that salesman anymore. Just my .02
i have had a personal bad experince with jdnhondaparts, though it took me 3,000+ later to realize it! i hope no one else any problems!!

I made transactionions from them before and they were fast and reliable ......except about my hood .....they have lost my order and they don't know who I was that was the time that they ship hoods before....eventually they found my order but they were backordered...I just told them never mind...they were professional enough that they were gonna give me some products for free because of what happened....JDMhondaparts are good guys if you ask me
Great service from them whenever ive dealt with them...but as we all know **** happens; i wouldnt put them on the black list just cause some salesman was a *****! Sorry to here bout the probs...
I know that both I and a bunch of people that I know have spent quite a bit of money there, and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. Maybe your problem was revolved around shipping or something like that, but in every face to face dealing I have had with Hugh and Sheng, I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I had a bad experience with JHP.
Sheng told me they had a part in stock. I made sure he had it in stock and he said he did. Well, it took them a month to send the part. Probably 'cuz he sold it to a local person and I had to wait for shipment from Japan.

I too had a very bad (expensive) experience from Jdm Honda parts.
I thought mines was just an isolated incident as I have heard many good things about them. I will not do business with them again and I advise others to do the same. VERY SHADY!
Their prices arent that great anyways on the common stuff that other shop have or can get, the not so common stuff that they have (be prepared to bend over) and lots of lies and stories.
