Default my 2000 s2k just dies, only at a stop

ok so only at a stop my s2000 just dies, if im rolling at all even with the clutch completely down it wont die, my battery voltage ranges from 13.6-14.2 while im driving, when the car is off my battery reads 12v. very strange, i can rev it if im at a stop with some slick handbrake slowing but its a pain, any ideas? and also it idles fine when i start it back up after it has died but once i start moving it and stop again it dies.

what year is your car?
how many miles?
what mods do you have?
how long have you had the car?
how long has this been happening?

if thats the sensor im thinking of, you can ziptie it real tight which should fix it. had the same problem in my 01' but it wouldn't stall, it would just hesitate and pick itself back up.

of course your voltage will do that when the engine is running your alternator throws out about 14'v unless it doesnt have a place to put it (battery), it would be higher. and when the car was off, your battery only has 12v.turbo maf sensor cars will do what yours is doing. if your bov isnt being recirculated. i would just throw a map in it and check all your hoses for leaks. any cells? and make sure your tps is set correctly?

If it were the map sensor it would throw a check engine light... sounds more like a dirty iacv or even carbon buildup in the port to the iacv. Try cleaning it out with carb cleaner while the engine is hot and running. Pull off the intake and spray it into the throttle body and be sure to spray it into the iacv port ( hole inside the throttle body before the butterfly). Keep the engine running manually because it will want to stall while your spraying the cleaner in. Also wipe off any carbon buildup around the butterfly as well.

Just noticed your in san diego, if you want to bring it by my shop I can take a look at it no charge. Just give me a call if your interested.

i did the map whack, seems to be working, hopefully, while i was under there seems my vtec solenoid is leaking a little, and the big hex bolt on the head has some oil marks coming out of it, lol maybe its time for a rebuild

ne good kits u recommend for a good price, quality is more important though

I believe a little seepage is actually normal (at least in AP1s). If it's minimal, I wouldn't worry about it.
