Default All Motor EG ITR swapped. ? about ITBs Opinions Welcome!

Hey guys! I got a 93 si with an ITR swap, Rocket Motorsports M22 cams/valvetrain, stock bottom end. Skunk2 fuel rail, eriks racing fpr, walbro fuel pump, and 440cc injectors, Tri-Y, and a velocity stack style intake. Runes obd2 distributor jumper harness and hondata full tune. Its already pretty quick but im looking for another 50hp N/a Do you think if I got some ITB's this could be done with tuning? what problems would I run into as a daily driver with ITB's?
Already got 215 wheel horsepower dyno'd

All comments welcome, let me know what you think.

the step to get your 50whp is huge compare what you did. i think the only solution is to jump up the compression of your engine. because the itb's work great with high compression. plus they are complex to tune right on the spot (espatially if you got cheap one).

I can get the tune done pretty cost effectively, the ITBS are expensive, and isnt the ITR compression already like 11.6?

ITB's have to be tuned very frequently. Just an FYI that it's not a one time thing.

There is certainly power to be gained with ITBs that are sized properly, but you are already making good power for the setup. You could see good gains in the midrange, and maybe a few up top. 50 is not gonna happen.

Either way, you'll be happy with the sound and throttle response. Well worth the money.

Since you know the power you want, browse through the All-Motor Dyno Thread and look at the various setups and what they make in terms of power. Compare that to your goal, and you can get a general understanding of what type of modifications will get you there.

FYI, you will not make 250whp on a 1.8L on pump-gas. You will need to consider displacement options.

I agree !!! 250whp on 1.8 even with race gas would be hard to touch unless you running like 15.1 comp lol ..you can always bore your block to 2l stroke it and do 12.1 with itbs youll be in that range! i see 230's on 1.8 with itbs and 12.1 with good tune!!! i made 215 whp on 11.1 with skunk2 stg 2s with no itbs stock Manifold/TB

I am guessing that your 215 was on a Dynopack? Even with a 2.0lt setup it's going to be hard to get close to 250whp without major modifications and upgrades. A simple 2.0lt setup is not going to cut it at all . Oh wait...you can go to Church's Dynopack and made ungodly power lol

The dyno was on a dynojet. Thanks for all the suggestions and discussion guys really helping me out. I was going to turbo it, but then found out I'd have to change out my high lift cams, and probable put in lower compression pistons if I wanted anything over 10psi of boost on a gt35r. I guess im still going to debate on what I want to do. But like in star trek "WE GOT TO HAVE MORE POWER CAPTN!"

Do you need that power 100% of the time or just when you want it? If it's just when you want it, there's always nitrous...

NOS + 11.1 = boom? or no?

I can actually get a pretty cheap EFI kit locally. Think a 50 shot would go to 10k rpm without detonation.

Nitrous + whatever compression isn't so much the issue.

It's the available knock resistance of the fuel you have to be concerned about.

What D-Rob said and the fact that you will not need to go to 10,000 Rpm to make power when running nitrous. I have 11.5:1 and run nitrous on a daily driver no problem with no boom and at 1500 RPM less than you want to run. Tuning and fuel is key.
