F20b Swap in 95 Accord
okayyy so im swapping in the f20b sir to my 95 accord
the swap im getting comes with everything i need except a freakin tranny
now my thoughts are since the original motor in my accord is the f22b sohc vtec and the swap im puttin in is f20b
now my question..would the tranny i have now on the f22b bolt up and work with the f20b swap? since its all in the f series??
i figured there is a chance like if you were to throw idk lets say a gsr tranny or b16 tranny onto an ls block that it would work like that since its all in the b series
or like if you were to throw pretty much any d series tranny onto any d series block (all d series)
does anyone know if it would work?
just wanted to find out for sure before i got into the swap to find out it wouldnt work
i already have the jumper harness and ecu just no tranny
help would be greatly appreciated

Man... I came in here looking for information cause I'm i the middle of doing the same swap in my Cousins 94 Accord 4 Door Auto.
Well when my cousin was originally going to start the swap he was going to use the Stock Auto 94 F22 trans on the F20B longblock.
The answer to your question is it will work on the stock trans whether Auto or 5speed.
He did the research and basically compared it to mating a b16 long block with an LS trans
Which would result in a very slow accelerating motor.

Are you doing a Manual swap or Automatic?
If your doing this swap... It would help if you get"
A h22 header Non SH and then you have to get some exhaust work to mate it to the cat. I read on some site that the SH Prelude Header would bolt up the motor to the cat... This is INCORRECT as my cousin and I have to take the car to a muffler shop to get modified to fit.
A obd1 h22 Intake Manifold with Throttle body & IAC valve, so you don't have to deal with the OBD2 IAC with 3 wires & the dual butterfly's on the IM.
If someone comes in here with past experience on doing the F20B Auto swap on a 94 accord please PM me as I have some questions about some problems I have encountered.

I am doing the f20b swap to my 95 accord ex. I have done some reading on it and was wondering if it was the OBD1 to OBD2a ECU Conversion Harness. That i need to convert the ecu. Will my f22b headers work on it and will my f22b axles work as well?
As for the axles, just gotta make sure you're using an Accord Intermediate shaft with the Accord driverside axle; otherwise, if you're using the F20B driverside axle then you're gonna need the F20B intermediate shaft. This only applies to Manual transmission.
Yea u can used the same tranny from the f22 it the same set up and the bolt will match and it ok with the gsr trans it won't fit for the accord and now if u had a civic u can do the same swapped in the civic and go with a kit for the trqns to make it h2b and it move faster with the trans but if u like the accord and u can do the h22 in the accord with the :22 trans with lsd that will move too
yea accord trans will bolt up to f20b or h22 but the gearing sucks with the power of the motor now with the f20b being a destroked h22 the accord tranny might compensate and work out with it but with a h22 the gearing lacks power

Accord F22 trannys suck for both H22 and F20B, but would suck less with the H22. H22 has more torque to move through the long ratios. With less TQ of the F20B, you'll feel it lugging with that trans more than the H22, possibly worse to drive around than a F22/F23.
Rude_Awakening is right. It's the other way around. F22 trans has long gearings when mated to an H22/F20B/H23 VTEC. You'll have to buy one of these transmission; T2W4 LSD, T2T4 LSD M2B4 LSD, M2A4, M2F4, or M2Y4 trans to get that full potential of the motor.
