Default b18b swap, cheap???

Hey guys, I've been looking through countless websites trying to find the best possible way of getting a b18 or b16 swap for my car, seeing as how most of the topics involve them, I then wanted one of my own.

So, im just wondering, I saw an ad on craigslist of a guy selling his 93 integ with his 97 b18 engine. Think if i just buy the car ill have what i need to swap into my 95 civic? Because it seems like buying a car is a lot cheaper than the engine iteself lol. No idea why. This is what it said:

The car comes with:
B18B 97' integra engine w/ synthitic oil [change every 3 months]
Cold air intake
Obx ceramic Headers
iraidium spark plugs & wires
short shifter
stage 2 clutch

So your thoughts and replys will be appreciated! Thank you everyone at Honda tech!

go to a scrap yard and look around.
hmotorsonline.com
passwordjdm.com
two good ones

but regarding the car.
you will still need certain mounts as the DA integra is different then the dc/eg chassis.
but other then that everything else will work

you can find LS swaps for pretty cheap

sure that would work but the main thing about this is the cable transmission as long as you get the harness ecu motor axles mounts and everything from the car you can sell the transmission and buy a hydro trans this imo is alot easier than converting your car to cable.

da's are cable trans, your 95 civic is hydro, you can buy a conversion kit, but it costs a pretty penny.

It is cheaper if you can find a rear crash vehicle. A 94-95 would be perfect for you as its plug and play everything. And would have everything you need.

The problem of picking up a cheaper running integra , is there usually high mileage and you will probably end up swapping out motor again.

So best way to do it is go with engine importer ( full swap is anywhere from $1200-$1600 ) And will have a low mileage well running motor.

Or junk yard integra for $ 500-$ 2000 and then you get more goodies like rear brakes and seats.
