I like mine. Acceleration was unnoticable to me until I drove a 4.40 equiped ITR again. As for gas mileage who cares. Really haven't noticed a difference in mileage either. Just do it.

I haven't yet notice any gas mileage differences and I have the ATS 4.9.
Its probably the fact that I dont care about gas mileage when you want performance

lil quicker acceleration, lil more gas usage due to higher rpm driving. instead of being at 4500rpm at 80mph, youll be at like 4700rpm at 80mph(just an example, not actual fact).

I still haven't decided on header or JDM FD for next spring. Will I be **** outta luck if I wait to get a JDM FD? Will they be available in March?

<--has a JDM FD and he loves it as well. No change in gas mileage whatsoever. If i could do it all over again i would of did the final drive before the header.

very happy with mine also....acceleration is better. nothing huge...but better. Makes the car nicer to drive...gearing is right there.
I have it on my street car (2k si) and the pro car which i help out with. Both cars noticed nice improvements.
Tom.

Who has a 4.785 with boost?
Even less traction would be entertaining for sure.

TJ (RATEDR) had it locally with his drag 3 setup... It was actually pretty good.
on a boosted car though, u want longer gears...
JDM final drive equals rippage through the gears
GSR gears with LS final drive equals the ideal boost gear setup

Ideal is completely dependent on what you use the car for.
what else do u want to know.......
u asked about boosted cars right, that is the ideal setup for a boosted B series....

The final drive doesn't affect the spacing between the gears...
I guess it depends on the whp you're talking about, but at 240whp it's pulling hard either way... jdm final just helps the turbo car around the autox course better...
Running through the traps in 5th gear at 1320 is kinda funny though...It's a LOT of fun, imho... I had even toyed with using a 4.9 final with a small turbo (just for kicks)...
I don't like the gsr gears - spacing between them is too great, imho... To each his own, I guess.
