1998 Honda Civic Electrical Problem
Hi,
I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX that is having an electrical power problem. Last Sunday (1/3) the car had no power. Meaning the car was dead. Not one electrical component worked....not even the horn. A few seconds later, the car started fine. The clock had to be reset and all of the radio presets had to be redone.
I drove it all last week with no problems. This morning I get ready to leave for work and the same thing happened again. No power. The car acts like someone has removed the battery from car. No horn, no beeps, no lights, absolutely nothing.
The battery was replaced in May. So, I doubt the battery could be shorting but I could be wrong.
Does this sound like a short happening within the main relay or ignition switch? What else could I take a look at?
Any help would be appreciated very much.
