Hey i have a type r tranny with a factory Lsd how much Power can these take with Slicks. Making 600whp so i believe this will be the weak link. Whats is the best LSD to go with. Would love to hear from peeps who are using them. Building a nice drag sol right now and trying to work ths issues out over the winter.

 

Im using a Wavetrac with no issues. The rest of the trans is having problems. Try preloading to help preserve your drivetrain.

Still gotta tear it down but Im pretty sure the main shaft bearings are pretty bad off judging by the clanking Im hearing that goes away when I press the clutch pedal.

It is.

As far as how much power the ITR LSD can handle there are a lot of variables. How the car is driven, clutch/pressure plate, tires, track conditions, weight, etc.

 

I've seen on here a stock ITR LSD fail behind a likely upgraded stock ITR motor and running 22" slicks.

Like 190-200 whp.

 

Yea i am thinking of getting the m factory i have 24.5 inch slicks and nor really trying to grenade the tranny. if i can get a season out of it buy changing a vital piece then so be it. I going to call the M factory today and speak about what piece to get.

Get a full straight cut gear set! you dont have that torsional twist... but lacks the surface area as helical...

 

Going with the M factory helical diff. Seems the way to go

Hey guys i have a del sol with a 96' Integra R-Type d16z6 and the LSD tranny, and im wanting to turbo, im wanting to try and get around 200-275 hp and was wanting to know if the tranny would handle it, its only got about 65-70k on it
