i am wondering if somebody can help me out
my itr won't start. everytime i turn the key i just hear a clicking sound
but when boosting the car it seems to start fine. after that turning off and then turning it on, it will not start ...the same clicking sound
i checked the battery, starter, alternator
the battery is running on the correct voltage(14v) and at 12V while the car is off
if anybody can help me out it would be great

A good battery and a clicking starter sounds like a starter dying.

 

load test the battery, clean the terminals.

 

dead cell , spend the $80 bucks and buy a new batt.... batt with no load in the "off" position should read 12.5 to 13.0 volts.

 

i have the same problem i always thought it was my alarm. its a new alternator and new battery so it cant be that. ill clean the terminals tomorrow. if its still dies ill buy a starter. how much do they go for?

 

battery is brand new, the terminals are clean...
also did an alternator test ...and it was good..

i just had to deal with this not to long ago. like said above try cleaning your terminals.
also make sure the clamps are on tight. the clicking sound you described, well if you hear
it in the dash close to you it is the relay.
to me it sounds like a starter but i would check for a bad wire or connection somewhere.

Just a shot in the dark... does your ITR have an immobilizer unit?

 

had similar problems ended up being my terminal clamp took a dump. got a new heavy duty terminal for a few bucks. the old one would wiggle even when fully tightened.

No.. the OP. I have had a couple of friends whose cars would start for no apparent reason. One was a 2001 S2K and the other was a '00 GSR. It turned out to be that the immobilizer unit failed in both cases.

 

3rd video makes it seem like a bad starter.(bad brushes on the d.c motor or bad solonoid.).02

 

Put a jumper wire from the battery to the starter and see if it turns over (car in neutral obviously) if nothing...its your starter...
