Replacement Panels: OEM vs Not
I've been wanting to do a 2000 front end on my civic for awhile now...
Do any of you guys have any experience with oem replacement panels vs non-eom "certified" stuff?
Im concerned about fit - i cant stand gaping body lines i liek nice and tight like from the factory.
Any input, opinions, and most importantly experiences would be great!

Hmm that doesnt look bad at all... I've read some reports of factory comparisons and how shitty the certi non eom stuff is.. but who knows they were done by the manufacturer maybe they are just tryin to increase thier profit margin...
More inputs and pics would be good! btw how much did you pay about total for your front end? Mine is a 97 aswell...

i believe the fenders were a little under 40, hood was around 100, and bumper was like 60 or something. headlights were 30 each, they are also aftermarket and not oem and fit perfect. not sure why everything thinks they need oem when replacing parts.
I work at a Ford dealership and we just buy refurbished OEM parts.
we used to buy refurb crap from the factory or other local body shops, until we started buying the certified parts and have never had one single problem with fitment and lining up the body lines
u can seriously run into aftermarket companies where their panels fit perfectly, and u can run into aftermarket companies where their panels fit like crap. OEM vs OE replica all comes down to what you have money for in my opinion. i'd spend a little bit more money on finding an OEM frontend that matches your car color already. very possibly a little more, but it'll save you money when it comes time to paint in my opinion
Hmm both of which you have to be a "shop"... Sucks because there is a partschannel down in Seattle...
Looks like its time to go talk prices at 2020...

they never fit like oem. Those aftermarket all have to fudge the gaps. OEM all the way. You can put aftermarket crap on ur car but ONLY OEM Honda for me
I've been able to get aftermarket fenders to fit nicely. Not the fiberglass ones, but the metal oem style fenders. The only issue was I had to re-drill the hole for the bolt, it was like an inch too far to the right. Strange, but everything else worked just fine.
