Default Looking for y8, all I can find is sohc d15 vtec 4sale

Ok after hours of searching, I need to replace the D16y8 in this 96 4dr EX that I picked up. The problem is nobody list a D16y8 for sale. All I can find is the "zc" sohc vtec 1.5. Any ideas where I could find the proper engine?

It's going to happen eventually...

Or keep looking, it's still winter and it seems like in spring more stuff goes up for sale.

Just keep looking, D16Y8's are pretty hard to find and they are pricey. If you can scrounge up a few dollars just get a B18B1 swap, it might be cheaper in terms of price/horsepower. And even if you find a Y8, its expensive.

You can swap a D16Z6 in fairly easy, it takes a little bit of work, such as wiring, but it can be done and they are a better motor.

Thanks for the reply's.

I should have explained more. I bought the car with a seized y8. I just would like to replace with an equal engine and sell it locally(its what I do in my spare time).

So I'm not interested in swapping in a bseries , just would like a stock replacement(worth more resale than a swap). Besides the cars a A/T.

So would a the D15 zc vtec that is advertised for obd-1 be a replacement? I would really like it to stay as close to oem as possible.
