Default Need some help...looking for some '97+ Prelude injectors...

I need some '97+ prelude injectors...I really don't want to run a FPR as it's a non CARB legal part just sitting out in the open under the hood saying "GIVE ME A TICKET" I'm trying to keep all of the mods hidden, other than the header which is awaiting CARB approval, so as to keep myself out of any possible trouble, and from having people seeing a bunch of parts sitting around in my engine bay.

Thanks,
Austin

why dont you just pintch the fpr housing to raise the pressure? then it looks like stock but you have more pressure.

Thanks for the thought Shawn...just looking for a better long term solution, with having ability to control the fuel flow precisely.

Why don't you paint an aftermarket FPR with a dull gold finish to try and resemble the stock one?

Yes but installing only Prelude injectors won't help you in the ability to control the fuel flow precisely. Do you have an AFC of some sort.

I would tend toward Reids idea of painting the FPR so it is less attractive. That is what I did for my Kakimoto exhaust (the reflective caracteristic of stainless steel VS the light beams intensity of a police car was not a favorable combination).

I have a Hondata...gives me the ability to control the fuel in a fairly precise manner, besides the FPR is borrowed from a friend and I need to return it to them.

You can afford a Hondata, but you can't afford a FPR?

Why skimp now?

MMMM Hondata... Well to answer your initial question you pretty much have two choices : used Prelude injectors from a scrap yard or (if you are like me and only install new parts) new injectors from Honda (unless Pep Boys sells their own brand of injectors)
When I checked the second option and got a price from Honda, I hung up the phone and ordered RC Eng 310 cc/min injectors and clips for cheaper.

You had more luck then me with Honda. They gave a price that was 1.5 time more expensive then RC "crap".

Nice...where did you pick them up for less than $90 per injector? I haven't started calling the scrap yards yet, but I was hoping to not pay a whole lot of $$$ out of pocket at the moment..
