Looking at picking up an RSX type S alot of people tell me to get the 05-06 but I honestly like the body of the 02-04 IMO I think it looks's better! Regardless is there anything I should be looking out for with the 02-04 or 05-06?

 

Its personal preferance really. Of coarse the 05-06 will be a little faster due to it having better cams, exhaust and better gear ratios.

If getting any rsx first thing i would say is to make sure you test drive it and go through all the gears and make sure that nothing grinds or is hard to get into. The rsx trannys are notorious for gears to go out. Mainly 2nd or third gear.

LOL make sure it doesnt knock either

Also think about the future and what you want to do to the car. Kpro is twice as much for the k20z1 than the a2 after buying everything.

Just make sure it looks good and runs good and i think you should be fine. Also i know alot of 02-04 people on CRSX that would trade you their 02-04 converson for your 05-06 if you end up getting one but want the 02-04 look lol.

IMO i love the 05-06 looks. Just up to you.

 

LOL I don't want to take apart the front and rear end I'd rather buy the 02-04 . Ya I heard about the tranny's but a buddy of mine has over 200 000km and the tranny is MINT suprisingly! Other than the 2 basic thing's anything else to look out for?

 

3rd gear !!!! 3rd gear pops out like a ****!.... gl though... me personally love the 05-06(own 05) just more simple and clean cut... "supposedly" more hp and trq...

 

They do look very clean but there so clean that it's hard to mod them :D(body wise atleast) I'm looking for a toy something to screw around with lol

 

Ya i have an 06 with the full A-spec kit and i love how it looks. Just going to replce the rear lip with a mugen one b/c i love the way the rears look. You can still mod 05+ they just look so good how they are lol. But there are still MANY JDM things you can do to any rsx to make it stand out and look sick. JDM tails look sick on 05+ as well so theres no stopping you from modding

Id say the main thing to look out for is check the car fax and make sure you test drive it and get on it a little atleast 1st to 2nd and 3rd. Nothing like buying a car with a ****ed tranny. (i got my car with 12k miles and by 20k the tranny went out. Im not that easy on my car but id say the guy before me wasnt as well.) Thats another reason i love the newer ones lol warranty. Was all good til 2nd went out at the track. Still pulled a 13.6 with bolt ons but i think the DR had a little to do with the tranny. (lol when i went to the stealership (after taking rh/kpro off) the guy said... Didnt i see you running this at the track? lol i laughed and said uuhhh No wasnt me. Who knew the service writer i went to happened to be at the track the same night i was. Oh well still got the new tranny.
