car protection
hey ppl i am a new integra owner i just wanted to know what are the best ways to protect my car from getting stolen other then kill switches and an alarm? pls help ya new teggy man out
Well....to prevent it from getting stolen...the best thing is to keep it in a garage....steering wheel lock, clutch lock, fuel cutoff, a loud *** alarm system.
Lojack is good, but that only helps get your car back once its stolen.

That's a good start for sure. A lot of people are gonna tell you that thieves will take it still even with all the things I mentioned but a lot of thieves are looking for the easy steal and not looking to get past an alarm, a fuel cutoff, a steering lock, and a clutch lock.
Then some thieves are plannin on towing it away so none of that stuff will matter anyways. At this point you will wish you had "Lojack".
Of course...don't over advertise your car and what you have...remove any emblems with "VTEC" or "DOHC" on them.

More layers, the better. Add optional things to your alarm (if your current one doesn't allow it, get one that does): Tilt sensor, proximity sensor, backup battery. Don't advertise: if you have a turbo, thieves will definitely eye it. I know if you get turbo you'll need things like gauges. If you can hide them that would be idea. I remember seeing posts where people hid them in their vents or integrated them into their dash in a stealthy way.
I put i switch on the starter solenoid so when it is off there is almost no way to start the car exept to bypass this. i would also use a clutch lock and a steering wheel. If you had the cash i would rock rebarreled steelies to make it sleepy and distract from the beauty it is lol
im going to do alarm system on my car. jus got my jdm front on my gsr. im doin stealth alarm under my passenger carpet. putting some sirens behind my 2 back speaker and in my front climate control. also motion sensor for wen the car is being lifted, glass break sensor, shock sensor is useless, hood pins, alarm back up battery and gps tracking updates every 2 minutes.
