Re: car protection
Well....to prevent it from getting stolen...the best thing is to keep it in a garage....steering wheel lock, clutch lock, fuel cutoff, a loud ass alarm system.
Lojack is good, but that only helps get your car back once its stolen. |
Re: car protection
im getting a quick release steering set

Re: car protection
That's a good start for sure. A lot of people are gonna tell you that thieves will take it still even with all the things I mentioned but a lot of thieves are looking for the easy steal and not looking to get past an alarm, a fuel cutoff, a steering lock, and a clutch lock.
Then some thieves are plannin on towing it away so none of that stuff will matter anyways. At this point you will wish you had "Lojack". Of course...don't over advertise your car and what you have...remove any emblems with "VTEC" or "DOHC" on them. |

Re: car protection
More layers, the better. Add optional things to your alarm (if your current one doesn't allow it, get one that does): Tilt sensor, proximity sensor, backup battery. Don't advertise: if you have a turbo, thieves will definitely eye it. I know if you get turbo you'll need things like gauges. If you can hide them that would be idea. I remember seeing posts where people hid them in their vents or integrated them into their dash in a stealthy way.

Re: car protection
pull out your ecu clutch lock kill switch or do waht i do and just make it look as ugly or beat as possible so ppl wont be interested

Re: car protection
I put i switch on the starter solenoid so when it is off there is almost no way to start the car exept to bypass this. i would also use a clutch lock and a steering wheel. If you had the cash i would rock rebarreled steelies to make it sleepy and distract from the beauty it is lol

I remove my main relay. Only way to steal car is to tow it.

Re: car protection
The more the better bro, and keep it in a safe place. People these days will try anything for our cars. Just spend your money in the rights spots at first.
