heat and AC MODE control not working..help

Default heat and AC MODE control not working..help

95 coupe...is stuck on floor and vent mode and wont switch out, is there a relay that controls this or a switch i tried looking on the computers at work(oreilly auto parts) and could not find anything and i need the defrost my windshield keeps fogging up on me.....also, would a glass shop be able to fix my rear defrost a few months ago i tried to unplug the wiring going into the rear windshield and the connector that is baked on the glass came off thanks in advance

Was it working before? It might be that the linkage under the dash is jammed up. If it is something electronic you can always manual move the linkage yourself so at least then you have defrost. I've done that before. lol


And if you work at Oreilly ya'll should have a rear defrost repair kit( i know the advance I used to work at had one)

it doesnt have linkage, its electronic, the how hot or how cold switch has linkage, im pretty sure that it is controlled by a motor, and yes it was working and suddenly stopped

I think that your heat and ac controls are controlled by cables that are connected to the back of the levers that switch blower from hot to cold, vent to recycle etc... I'm thinking that one of these cables broke or disconnected. And for the rear window defrost, companies offer kits that allow you to DIY. But if you plan on taking your car to a shop I think a mechanic shop can help you too. If you do it yourself you'll save money for sure though.

no...it is electronic, ive had the thing apart...well not that one but the one from my other civic its ran off of a circuit board, the wiring has a green connector

Sorry man but your wrong. your other civic might be electronic but 92-95 Civics have linkage.

So don't tell me I'm wrong and do some research buddy.

you are wrong lol, thats the blend door linkage lol, what controls it....Ifigured it out anyway, its called the mode control motor and its $130 from honda....YOU ARE WRONG AGAIN lol
