what would i need to fully built all motor b18a vtec is it even worth building it or is it better to just get a b18c

lol you have alot of searching to do.
lsvtec can make some fun power. but it takes work. slap a vtec head on it and away you go. but after awhile itl grenade on you because the bottom end isnt made for "vtec" rpms. just get a vtec head and vtec kit and wire vtec and tune it.
but if i was you would sell everything and save my money and buy a volvo s60R

Not all dc2s come with vtec. Correct me if im wrong. Why put a b18a when you already have a b18b1 in your integra. You can just turbo the b1.

DC2 is for the GSR specfically

DC4 is RS LS GS

When reffering to the 3rd gen integra it is easier to just say DC usually

I would say get a b18C b18A is less hp and less torque than b18B. I don't think it is all that cheap to build a reliable LSvtec, but I have never done it. putting a b18C into an LS I think would be quicker, easier, and more reliable in the long run since, as rick_rabies, says the block is not made to go up to 8K RPM.

But I don't know exactly what kinds of things you are trying to do. For me all I want is a b18C and a short geared trans. And that is enough fun for my tastes.

DC2 is not gsr specific. DC2 can be gsr, sivtec, sir-g, and type r, and possibly others.

For sure save up and buy a b18c, one of the best motors honda has ever made.

make sure to get the b16 or the gsr trans with it. otherwise the longer gears on the LS trans will make it not as fun and not as fast.

All DC2 Integra models came with a DOHC VTEC drivetrain, such as the 94-01 GS-R and 97-01 Type-R. B18C1 (GS-R) B18C5 (Type R). The other DC4 model Integras: LS/SE/RS/GS were produced with B18B engines, the suffix, ( B18(B)(1), B18(A)(2) ) depened on particular year of production.

ls vtec built is good power so is the b18c1, take it from some 1 who has had it all! c1s have a short stroke & can beat up on high boost wth stock internals if ur tuned decent. My ls vtec on boost grabs tq from the jump. building an ls vtec right will do. Also personely i like the long stroke on boost. BUt i like the fact of having strong sleeves from the c1 bottem end also.
