Default a6/z6 mini me high compression, won't start, no spark

Hey Guys,

I just finished putting my rebuilt a6 block with pg6 pistons and z6 head back in my 90 CRX si. I have a p28 ecu chipped with a basemap for this setup. I tried to start it last night and it turns over, and I can hear the fuel pump priming constantly when the key is in the On setting after trying to start. Saw gas come out of the top of the filter when I loosened the service bolt to check pressure... Tried grounding a spark plug though, and no spark when I cranked it. I have the obd0 wiring harness with a obd0-obd1 distributor jumper harness from rywire that worked before I pulled and rebuilt the engine. Can anybody help me with ideas? Thanks.

So it all ran before you bumped the compression?

Other than pistons and the ECU chip, did you change anything else?
(were you running OBD1 with the Z6 head before?)

Check your grounds... especially the one that hooks up at the tranny.

Yes it ran, the only thing I have changed in this car is the pistons. The engine harness was the same. I did a mini-me swap two summers ago, and I swapped obd1 with an ecu jumper and distributor jumper, kept the stock 90 si injectors with the resistor box. I have the engine ground off the front right corner, negative batter terminal grounded at the frame and transmission (placed the tranny grounded on the brace for the clutch cable). I tucked the wires this summer, but that should not cause a problem, should it? I also removed the alarm system, but I removed the complete system, main computer, splices into the car wiring system... I am on the verge of taking it to the shop. I leave for Spain Monday, so I am going to keep trying stuff until then. My dad is going out to test the ignitor coil and continuity on the wires to the dizzy with me. I will also check the main relay. I installed the basemap with the notch towards the center of the ecu...

Check your ignitor or your coil in your distributor. Or actually, is your dizzy in right? Like you didn't have to force it in or anything did you?
