Default Torn CV Boot, just happened within the last few days what to do?

The CV boot on the drivers side is torn, I know it just happened withing the last few days, and I havent driven the car that much. It doesnt make any noises. Should I replace the boot or the whole axle? What should I expect to pay to replace either?

tear it down and inspect. if the insides look ok.. repack and install a new boot and hope it lasts.

Agreed...if its not makign any noise, dont drive it, pick up a boot and go that route instead of replacing the whole axle.
