whats up, ive decided to make a little intro thread, i havent posted much on honda-tech but ive helped my BFF4life kotic deliver a bunch of RHD's across the boarder. Ill be posting on here alot more now. I used to drive a 2001 Acura 3.2CL-S but since im going back to school and no longer working full time i decided to sell it and get something smaller and cheaper on gas/insurance. Anyways, ive always loved EK's so after about a month of looking i found a decent one, its supposed to be my point A to point B car, but the mod bug has already kicked in lol.

SO here's a pic of my new car, its no SolFresh material, but i just plan to keep it real simple. The fake mugen lip is coming off and im searching for a CTR or SIR lip as we speak, also found a set of clean integra black cloth seats which im thinking of picking up. Car came with rotas(i think) which ill be using as my winter wheels, ive already purchased a set of OZ fittipaldi mesh rims that ill be refinishing over the winter. Enjoy

 

Looks nice! I like the drop its just what I want for my EK. Mines a commuter also, but with a b16. Don't really need that extra horses but I don't want to mess with the engine yet. How the drive in snow? Does it swing out at all when you hit snow patches? just wondering. What kind of mods are you thinking about doing to keep it as a dd?

i have no engine mods planned, unless my engine dies or something, then ill swap in a b16 most likely, i also dont really need the extra hp. The drop is just on some springs, no idea what they are previous owner didnt know, so ill assume theyre some bullcrap ebay ones or something.

Basically all i want is good suspension, i already got my rims, so i just need some nice quality coils and dump it along with a nice front lip. it came with the "CTR" rear wing and lip, and the fitment seems to be ok so ill just keep those. Found a JDM ek bumper already painted silver but i cant find a back one so i dunno if i wanna get it

 

doubt it, it came with the car also, is there a way to check? honda stamp somewhere?

 

nice.do a 00 front conversion with oem si lip and it will look a lot better

 

i like the 00 front too but i rather spend my money on other parts of the car

Anyways i thought these rims were rota optimus but looking at them more i see theyre a bit different, theyre also made in taiwan, anyone have any idea what rims they are?

sir front bumper is nice... Since its a daily driver, I would suggest something with more torque for getting you from point a to b and your car will feel more powerful than a b16a. Get a b20 with a gsr tranny. Its cheap, easy, torqy, and has alot of low-mid range torque for that stop and go driving.. It also saves you alot more gas
