Help! When ac on, car dies out!!!!
I got a 96 civic hatchback, I just installed a freashly built LSVTEC, it's been running good but when I turn my Ac on the car dies out when I come to a dead stop, also my idle fluctuate up to about 2000rpm then it just goes to about 500rpm then dies only when my ac is on, I got a brand new IAC so I know it can't be that, I tried everthing, this motor was build with mostly all brand spanking new parts. I'm stump out trying to figure out what worng with my motor. Do you guys think it could be the motor is self? Thank for the inputs in advance!!!
If it's only a problem when A/C is on, check the A/C compressor, may be seizing up.
Remove A/C compressor belt, start engine and turn A/C on, if problem gone pull and have compressor checked, if problem still exists, have ECU/ECM checked, The ECU controls idle when A/C is turned on, [idle up] when A/C is turned on ECU will compensate for the extra load by idling up a little, [not to 2000 RPM]
The A/C systems work a little differently, [switching] on a 96 Civic then on an Integra, it could be a wiring issue. 94
