Default Integra Alternators Differences

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the alternators used on 90-95 RS/GS/LS integras and the GSR? Can you use the 1990-1993 alternator on the 94+ Integras? Whats the difference? Mounting? Plugs? They all have the circular plug and seems like it plug right into an OBD1 harness

THANKS!

Plugs are different. You need 92-95 teggy alternator.

just check the pins and plugs, but obd1(92-95) alt and wiring will work regardles of model as long as it is a b-series.

I thought OBD0 and OBD1 alternators used the same plug. And they appear to be the same case design where it would physically mount up alright. I'm 99.999% sure you won't have any issues.

And whoever said as long as it's a B series, bologna! I had a D series on my GSR motor for a week. It just takes the D series belt (or another shorter one), an extra bracket, and another bolt so you can push the alternator out far enough and take out the slack and account for the slight offset. A custom bracket could easily be made though to use the D series on the B series motor. My setup was ghetto, but I was broke and had an alternator coming in the mail...

http://ff-squad.com/wp/?p=425 (obd1 vs obd0)

The 90-93 integras all share the same 70 amp alternator
The 94-95 integras all share the same 90 amp alternator
The 96-01 integras minus the type R share the same 90 amp alternator
The 98-01 integra typeR's use a different alternator made by mitsubishi but it is also 90 amps.

I dropped a OBD1 LS in my CRX and the plugs matched and the car runs perfect. The extra amperage has made no difference.
