Default Manual door lock wont work with key, Drivers Side '04 Accord

ok i have MANUAL LOCKS on my '04 Accord and
the drivers side door will not unlock with the key.
i can insert it all the way in but the key will not turn at all.
the same key can unlock all other lock on the car and start the car.

I can pull/push the lock on the drivers side on the inside with no prob.

i have sprayed it with wd40 and got nothing.

at this point i have been having to unlock the door by going thur the passenger side. i know its ghetto.

any help would be great.

Does it feel a bit rough inserting the key into the lock cylinder?

I've found that the newer "sidewinder"-type lock cylinders seem to be especially prone to seizing up internally. You may need a new lock cylinder. Unfortunately, it can be costly to have the new cylinder re-keyed to you existing key.

I'd suggest using a bit of WD-40 to try to get it working once more.

Use the straw and spray both up along the upper teeth and down along the bottom teeth.
put the key in and take it out a few times.
then put the key in and gently try to turn the lock a little bit at a time in both directions.

If that doesn't work at first let it sit for a few hours to a day then come back and repeat the above steps.
If it still doesn't work then it may be time for a trip to the local Honda dealer to see what they can do for you (likely replace the lock).

Good rule of thumb would be to use that lock a few times a week to keep it helthy and working freely.
