90 civic, 1.5 engine, mt, failed to crank, turned switch to on and push started to get home. at next attempt all electrical systems on car failed when switched to start. ignition switch failed test and was replaced, now switching to on kills all electrical systems on car. battery and connections all clean, ecm ground clean, im stymied, any help would be appreciated, thanks

 

check your alternator sylenoid fuse i think its number 8 in your under dash fuse box, check the wires to your switch you could have a short check your grounds check the wire to your starter check your wires from your battery cable in your under hood fuse box, im pretty sure its the alternator sylenoid fuse though

 

the alternator solenoid valve fuse is good. cables to fuse box under hood are good too. could the failing ignition switch have fried the ecm? seems that if that had happened i wouldnt have been able to drive the car after push starting it.

 

i would say check your starter, did you just buy the car maybe theres a kill switch you dont know about, check all connections at your ecu

 

also check your ecu for check engine lights when the key is on, is there a key or just push button start

 

when you turn on the key all electrical systems on the car go dead

 

is it possible that im the only person who has experienced this particular type of failure?
