Info. about aftermarket carpet
Need everyone's opinions on aftermarket carpet, fit, quality, and price on the following options below. Plus, is mass backing worth it, because the standard carpet sold w/o the mass backing seems really thin. CTR carpet is really expensive, so looking for an alternative. CTR is $400 new or $250-$300 used, plus all the gaps you are going to get on the side where the gas lever is and near the center console where you have to cut various parts of the carpet to get it to fit isn't worth it if you have alternatives for new carpet that are cheaper. However, if the consensus is that aftermarket carpet is of lower quality, I'll give the CTR carpet a second thought.
accmats.com (otherwise known as ACC carpet, most expensive at $250 + I think $50 for mass backing)
stockinteriors.com ($132 + $55 for mass backing)
automotiveinteriors.com ($114 + $50 for mass backing)
PLUS: any place you've used online
Let me know if you've used any of the above brands. I did some searching, but a lot of the answers were incomplete or not what I was looking for and was spread all over the place. Hopefully this will be a complete thread with everyone chiming in so all the answers are in one place. Thanks in advance.

im lookoin for carpet too for my civic. like some info. havent done much searchin yet. i just figured id go through honda but i heard that the carpet has been discontinued.
Dude where did you see $132 for stockinteriors? The one for an eg hatch is 205 or something without mass backing for the complete carpet. Anyways, just search this forum for "stockinteriors" and about 4 threads down theres a review of some red carpet from them. I did a search on this forum, looks like quite a few people have used stockinteriors (i was thinking about buy from them fairly soon). From what i gather, their carpet with mass backing is much thicker than the stock carpet. As far as installation goes, sounds like it takes some work after cutting and fitting but looks pretty good after. I think i also found somewhere on here that stockinteriors actually sends out accmats carpet. So, search up stockinteriors, theres a couple reviews in different parts of HT. If you pick some up let me know, i'd like to know how you like it.

See, the thing is, I don't believe that stockinteriors.com buys from acc because ACC charges $285 without tax or mass backing for their carpets. Stockinterior carpets are listed at $132 on their website. This means two things...either stockinteriors doesn't really use ACC and it's just a rumor...or ACC is ripping the CRAP out of their customers and charging way over whole sale to what they sell to other places.
I used one from summit racing before, cheap nice quality black, take it out the box lay it overnight and it forms to the floor pan, but I screwed it up by cutting too much it ended up in the trash.
Hm, you might be right, but i swear someone posted on here that their stockinteriors carpet came in an ACC box. Maybe it was just him or maybe im thinking of a different company.
Possibly in the past, because I have heard from several people that they get the carpet in an ACC box, but I doubt it now with these companies selling carpet that is well under what ACC is selling their carpet for. ANy input from stockinteriors from anyway?
Yeah, I was looking at another site, (an EP3 specific site) where a guy had bought type r carpet from stockinteriors as well and it seemed to fit pretty well, but there was no info about whether he used mass backing. I heard somewhere also that if you don't order mass backing, it sort of loose. I think I might just end up using stock interiors.com for the simple fact that it cost less and carpet is going to get messed up regardless. Thanks for the input.
The mass backing makes it a little harder to work with and cut I heard but it's probably worth it to deaden some sound... Have u heard anything about accmats fitment/quality?
WADDUP! Yes, that's what I heard also, but I also heard that if you don't get the mass backing, the fitment is really loose and won't fit snug like OEM. However, I also heard that mass backing is overboard, which will make the fit too TIGHT, but then again, this photo from a member on ephatch.com (I found it form another person who posted it, not the original owner) and it looks fantastic. This person didn't mention if this carpet came with mass backing or not, fail -_-. Need to find him and ask him lol.
