If your really cheap you can just take the factory shifter and cut it off a few inches. Just either re-thread the rod or buy a universal shift ****. Kinda jacked but it works. It was done to my DA when I bought my first one. I've heard it's not the best on your linkage but I never had any problems for close to 15K miles I owned it. I'm fairly certain you could use any Integra kit all having the same basic engine and trans but not too sure on the civic, unless it was the SI maybe.

Same thing. They slightly reduce the distance between gears. Stay away from cheap, POS brands, they will vibrate like crazy and can be extremely hard to shift because of the bearing design.

A Civic shifter will tilt the **** slightly, I'd recommend using an Integra dual bend shifter.

A real short throw shifter is one that has been engineered to reduce the distances between throws. As already mentioned, stay away from cheap ebay garbage because they have a million problems. If you're looking for the best short shifter, go for a TWM Performance one...had it on my car for 4 years and its way better than the old Skunk2 one i had

Check out the installation manual with pics at the bottom of the page if you want a good DIY
