Buy one and tell us. An items worth is subjective, no one can make up your mind.

No. I was comfortable w/ my stock one. I got a weighted one and I think it puts unneeded weight on your shifter. Does it make you shift faster? Do Samco hoses make your engine better? If you like it buy it, maybe the psychological edge will make your lap times better!

it def wont make u shift any slower. i have one and i been using it for a year now, the extra weight just gives u this mental feeling that u know its in gear. It throws pretty comfortably, only bad thing i can say is during the summer dont touch the **** right away and during the winter same thing lol

Lol thats honestly the only downsides i can see of the ****, I dont have a problem with its weight. Like i said i think it gives u a better feel of ur shifts, or atleast it makes it seem that way.

They give you a positive shift feel due to the excess weight. I've had mine for over a year and recently just switched to a circuit hero, which weighs the same, but is cylindrical in design. They are worth it. The gears fall into place easier without much hassle.

After owning an FA5, I've put a weighted **** in every car I own. While none of them shift as smoothly as the FA5 did, it definitely feels better than not having any weight on it.

Do you guys like the Circuit Hero better than the Skunk2? I have a Skunk2 right now but am looking for a new ****.

The Skunk2 feels better than stock, but not quite what I'm looking for.

To tell the truth, I didn't really notice a difference when switching to the s2 weighted ****, maybe just a more solid feel going through the gears. I feel that the **** design is too small, I wish it was a more spherical shape. Get use to wearing gloves in the hot and cold months of the year!

is the temperature of the shift **** that big a deal? i've had mine for over 3 years and never noticed it being too hot or cold, i live in eastern nc and the temperature goes from 100ish to as low as maybe the single digits and never needed a sock or anything

I have s2 short shifter and energy bushings.....very hard and stiff shifting.
Adding the half kilo shifter makes it shift like a knife through butter.
Idk about faster shifting but with my bushing/shifter combo it makes nice crisp affirmative shifts. I would never go.back to.stock.
Recommend it very

The stock Civic shifter just isn't comfortable. It feels kinda cheap. I have what I think is just a cheapy eBay one, and I love it. Fits in the hand nice either way you hold it and they're heavy, I'd say half pound but I suck at estimating stuff. It doesn't rattle as much and just makes the shifter feel more solid.

For a ****, just get whatever is cheap and comfortable. It's little more than a fancy mutated acorn nut.
