1997 JDM Accord EX (non ABS.. ie. LX trim in the US)
I am in desperate need of this part.. I am currently in Trinidad with my RHD accord, and I cannot seem to source these parts locally.. As a result, im looking to see what I can get my hands on in the US..
Consider that my car is Right Hand Drive, so the plugs for the brake lines are on the opposite side of the cylinder.. See pictures for this..
Original Part made by Nissin and is 15/16" bore with both brake line plugs on the right hand side if facing the car.
It started when I realised that the seals were leaking, so I began looking for the seals , no one seems to have them. As a result I began to look for the piston which would come with the seals but it also appears that no one has an exact match for mine..
Now, I have extended my search to include the actual master cylinder but I cannot seem to find an exact match with both of the plugs for the brake lines on the right hand side (when facing front of vehicle)..
Ideally, I would be able to get the seals/repair kit and they would be a perfect fit..
If not, do any of you know where I can get a new piston for this MBC that would be a match on mine?
Thanks in advance for the help
Please see pictures..

If you can't source the 15/16" seals in the states.... what size BMC do you guys use on your cars??
I think the only way you could get around this problem would be to get a brake company to manifacture you some brake line extensions (to take the lines under it to the other side) and just use a US style BMC.... unfortunately I have no idea how hard this would be to get done in the US.

Just looked under the hood of the '95 2.2 EX. The MC is by Nissin. I can't see why Honda would change the bore size.

thanks mad mike, I frequent rockauto but wasnt able to find a kit.. Also, main problem with referencing the EX is that that had ABS whereas mine did not (despite being EX trim internationally).. Think this will make a difference? For the 95 it seems the repair kit is the same for both EX and LX (neither had ABS apparently).. but I'll keep on referencing other models seeing as mine is a 97..
Funny that a repair kit costs almost as much as an entire BMC!
Thanks
My mechanic here in Trinidad has the tools (flaring kit and arc welding) but I wanted to do this as an absolute last resort..

If you do go to RockAuto heres a discount code for ya
26019431767729 Expires February 21, 2010(put code only in the 'where did you hear about us' line.
I looked at RAs listings and between '95 and '97 the MCs share the same part #s.
I would think RAYBESTOS Part # MK2068 {Professional Grade}Except Antilock Brakes repair kit is what you need.

Mike... I am sorry I never followed up on this..
I managed to find the repair kit locally eventually and in the urgency i bought it despite being over $100 USD...
2 years later, looks like the BMC is leaking again which makes no sense at all..
It also looks like my 40/40 Prop valve is leaking too and I only swapped that a year ago and it was fine.. Switched the 40/40 back to the original prop valve and still losing brake fluid so only place could be the BMC I guess...
I hate how I always do the right thing on this accord yet problems still come back and chase me..

Now I don't know that answer to your question, BUT it sounds exactly like what happened to my old British cars when you used DOT 3 fluid in them. You wre supposed to use DOT 4. Being a teen and not knowing any better, I used whatever fluid was on the shelf at the gas station. Seals might last a year or so at best. I should have been using DOT 4. Don't know what you have available to you, but it is something to think about. Actually, I would think that modern seals, whoever made them, should work with any fluid, but you never know. If you can stick with Honda products.
