cutting out the middle bar on a 94-97
I was curious, how would I go about getting rid of that ugly bar in the mouth of the bumper? If I cut it off and sand it, is it gonna look like it was never there (buying a new stock bumper, so it would be repainted). Thanks
because the "bar" is not solid, if you cut it out it will leave notches (kinda hard to explain, but trust me, my friend's crx is suffering from these right now).
if you took the time to fill in the notches, then it might not look half bad.

the middle piece on the 94-97 bumper is hallow so when you cut it out it will leave a hole/gap shaped like this...... > on each side of the bumper . the hole/gap will be just as wide as the middle piece you cut out . it might look cleaner if you just leave the middle piece and cut out the black grill . jus my thoughts , i did it to my bumper and it looked clean .
o , i didnt notice you were gonna get it repainted . since your gonna get it repainted have the bodyshop cut it off and then they can fill in the gap that it will leave . also have them mold the 2 pieces together to get rid of the lines that the 94-97 bumper has . looks a lot cleaner .
