Bleeding brakes, this easy?
Any tips? Im going to be doing this and have no clue but it seems easy. I guess someone has to pump the brakes and then hold it steady while the other person loosens the screw and wait till all the air bubles are out? Then after that side has no bubbles you tighten it and fill up the Master cylinder with more fluid? How does that work, wouldnt new fluid and old fluid be mixed up?
You will have to do that process a couple times on each corner. You can't get ALL the bubbles in one pump, it will take about 3-6 to make sure. Also whoever is pressing the pedal have them do steady pressure and not let the pedal hit the floor. After you do each corner check the reservoir and fill as needed.
They sell little one man kits to help. Basicly a 1 way valve that lets out fluid but wont allow air back in.. very cheap like 5 dollar kits. All of 50 cents in parts they sell for $5.. but it works.
I need more help, Im not understanding clearly. So do I have to completely empty the brake bluid before putting the new fluid too?
I bought DOT 3, is that right?
