Hey everyone. My cousin has a d16z6 hatch. She doesn't know a WHOLE lot when it comes to cars in general so I help her out however I can. She's got oil leaking down the side of her block, and it looks to be leaking from the vtec solenoid.

I personally, don't have time to go to the dealership and get the parts for her. I believe there are two gaskets in the vtec solenoid? Or spool valve, i've heard people call it? I called our local Honda today, and the parts person couldn't figure out what I was talking about?? OK...

Does anyone know the part numbers?

To clarify... a b16/b18 vtec solenoid gasket is different correct?

There are 2 gaskets in it, but the one you need since it's leaking oil is (i can almost guarantee it) the one that goes between the head and the solenoid. It's a goofy looking gasket that has a wire mesh screen in it. Part number 15825-P08-005 I believe...

The other gasket is part number 36172-P08-005, but if the actual solenoid doesn't have oil leaking down it, it's still good. It goes between the base of the cylinder looking thing and the part that actually bolts to the head.
