Default ef power window help

hi, i own a 90 civic hb and bought a power window set with the doorpanels from a nother EF. Now the problem i have is that i don't know how to install them into my civic. From the driver side i have 5 wires(blu/blk, blu/grn, blu/yel, blk & wht/yel) and pass.side just the first 3 wires going back into the car.
About the relay, it came with the numbers (30,85,86 & 87).
Can somebody help me with this? if u can, would u draw a diagram of the installation?

Thank you all in advance.

you just said the mechanism and door panels are from another ef...ok soo this power regulator was already in the car.?? none of those wires are gonna hook up to anything specific in your hatch. wiring for power windows inst there. youll just need to find and tap into wires for ground and 12v switch (power with ignition on) this may bee an aftermarket kit..its possible

yes it was also put into that EF. I know you need ground & 12volt to make it work, but i aslo know that it needs to be hooked on a relay & fuse to work.
where the wires go on i don't know, with this i need help.

from what your saying about the relay. im going to go out on a limb and say "its a universal power window (SPAL) kit?"

oem power windows have 5 wires on one side and 9 wires on the other side. and as far as the "30,85,86 & 87" relay its a universal one, which makes me also believe that you might not have an OEM set up. here are pics of my jdm RHD switches...i no longer use these as im using LHD switches now.

please post up pics of your set up. OEM power windows will look identical to your manual set up, only with motors where the crank would normally go.

as far as the wiring its easy....
color match the wires coming off each motor to their respective switch. on the passenger side you will have 3 extra wires 2 of the wires will lead back to the master switch, of course the master switch will have a matching set of wires that connect to the passenger side. this allows for the master switch to also control the passenger side window. the left over wire on the passenger side will be the power wire for the switch. on the master switch do the same you will have 2 grounds on the master switch that get looped together to 1 ground. and the left over wire will be power wire for the master switch. i highly recommend that you add a separate fuse for each power wire.

this is of course assuming you have an OEM set.

i just explained how to do the wiring, so it shouldn't be too difficult for you. the right side should have 9 wires, the left side your referring to seems correct.

there are a couple write ups. you just gotta look. but its not rocket science.
- unbolt the old set up
- bolt in the new set up
- color match the wires
- add grounds
- add a relay optional (i didnt add one)
- add fused -power wires (i recommend having 1 per door)

and thats it

i am attaching the factory wiring diagrams for the 1990 ef sedan power locks..... some of the wires you mentioned have the same colors. i am also adding a diagram of a aftermarket relay setup to power the windows as well

here is a way to wire aftermarket relays to control the wondow motors.
(you will need 2 relays per window switch, 4 total if one switch on each door or... just extend the pass. window switch wires (for the driver side pass. window switch) if you are using dual switches on driver door.

relay "a"
85- fused 12v ignition power
86- "down" side of window switch
87- fused 12v ignition power
87a- ground
30- to window motor

relay "b"
85- up" side of window switch
86- fused 12v ignition power
87- fused 12v ignition power
87a- ground
30- to window motor

it may seem kind of odd to you.... but put 2 relays together and then wrap black electrical tap around them. (as shown in pics)

you can use one color wire for all connections OR you can use a single color for each type of connection so you wont get confused
ignition/switched power - yellow
ground - black
"UP" side of switch - orange
"DOWN" side of switch - red
window motor side "A" - green
window motor side "B" - green

it doesn't matter which side of the motor you connect the motor wires to. if you connect them wrong (push up on switch and window goes down, then reverse the wires going to the motor)

the way to view the relay is as follows:
there are 2 horizontal terminals and 3 vertical terminals
87 - top horizontal (input to 30 when triggered, can be positive or negative)
86 - left middle vertical (trigger, can be positive OR negative)
87a - middle horizontal (connected to pin 30 when relay is not triggered)
85 - right middle vertical (trigger, opposite of pin 86 polarity, if pin 86 is positive, then 85 is negative and vice versa)
30 - bottom vertical (output from 87a when not triggered, or 87 when triggered. can be positive or negative, it just depends on the polarity of either 87 or 87a)

showing both relays taped together

another view of both taped together

connecting the 12v ignition/switched power connections

connecting the grounds

connection the motor wires

connecting the window switch wires

completed

here are the factory diagrams for the oem power window circuit and wiring in the 90 civic sedan. it might help you as well.
front door part 1

front door part 2

rear door part 1

rear door part 2

if you have any further questions please let me know.

oh yeah... almost forgot... fuse the power wire for the relays with a 30amp fuse (if the power window motors are aftermarket) a 20 amp fuse should be good enough for factory power window motors

Question......
So this i what i have,...2 windows, driver's side switch(lhd) controls both driver & pass. windows and pass. side switch only the pass.side.

Do i need 2 relays, one for each window or just 1 relay for both windows?
If it's 2 relays, the green wires in ur picture, on witch color wire of the motor do they go on??
And the switch wires to witch color wire do they go??

I know the blu/yel wire from the driver's side connects with the blu/yel of the pass.side wire and so does the blu/grn wires.
So that leaves me with the blk, wht/yel & blu/blk (both driver & pass) wires.

Could u help me with that??

blk is ground
wht/yel is driver switch power
blu/blk is pass switch power
you need 2 relays for each window
4 total
you can mount all relays in the kick panel or the drivers relay pack on dr side and pass relay pack on pass side.
you should have 2 more wires for each switch... 1 wire for up on driver and 1 wire for down on driver
1 wire for up on passenger and 1 wire for down on passenger

the green "lock motor" wires in my relay diagram can go to either motor wire. justmake sure when you press "up" the window goes "up" if it doesn't go up when you press up, then just swap the two motor wires.

can you send me a pic of the switched and wiring for those switches?

sorry for the photo quality, made with my phone.

The first pic is from the driver side (blu/yel,blu/grn,blu/blk), the wht/yel & blk. The 2 plugs on the left, top left goes to main switch & the other one not sure.

Second pic is from the pass.side harness...the 3 blu/.. wires just like the driver's side and the 2 plugs on the right. Left one goes to pass.switch.

Last pic is a close up from the driver's side. The wires in the middle are the once from the plug that i don't know what it's used for.

Hope it can help..

Are you talking about the 3 wire plug? If so that plug is for power mirrors (the adjusting part of the mirrors).
