I bought a 97 hx and the thing has a weird knocking sound coming from the intake manifold. When i unplug the idle control sensor it stops but the car dies shortly. then when the car is off but the ignition is on and i plug the idle control back in it makes a whining noise. Any one know what the problem is. I already tried changing 2 idle control valves and it still going on. The noise almost sounds like a rod knock but from the intake manifold. thanks for the help

 

got it. ecu got wet. changed the ecu and fine.
