IMO, I think people that put foreign writing on their car are crazy... I mean you may know what it means.. But to everyone else, they are just thinking you're an idoit.

 

Yeah dude. This is America. I have an Arkansas plate from 1967 on the front end of my JDM DC2. It looks pretty cool...this rusty antique plate on a sleek alien looking car.

 

sorta like people who get huge splash pattern vinyls down the side of an otherwise nice car...........!!

if you are serious about puting a japanese liscense plate to be JDM

well explain that to the cop for wrong plates when u get gazillion tickets in one night for it >=D

 

i think i didnt explain myself right..i already have my states tag im looking for one for my front bumper...ive seen some of those illuminated ones they look kind of nice..unless i can find a california tag for sale..but i believe each us state has to return them back to the dmv..

your local County house will be able to register you a new tag for front, and back of the car. (least wat my state does for a price)
your just asking for police to pull u over especially in cali for having a japanese liscense plate in the front. i believe its required by law to have it showing on the front bumper?(or again its just my state south dakota).

well sucks to be in dakota i guess....lol i live in fl you know the gun shaped state..lol we are only required to have only one tag in the rear thats mandatory they dont really care about the front one...

 

oh.. then by all means get it if ya want ;p. their is a kid with a japanese liscense plate custom made in town, they have a online website, and you can custom make your own words on it.

I didn't do it... I would like to have it re painted but no money right now. But it's not vinyl. It's painted on and has some pretty cool ghosting effects in it.

 

You notice how nobody does stupid **** to their cars. Its always the former owner. Former owner burned the seats, former owner curbed my wheels, former owner put this gay-*** ghosting effect paint on my ride?

Just because your state doesn't require you to have a license plate on the front, doesn't mean they don't care about what you have on it. If a cop notices you have 2 different plates on your car, you're F'd; especially one from another state. Having plates from 2 different states tells them that the car is either stolen, not registered and being illegally driven, or that they are stolen plates. So at the very least you're going to get harassed by the cops. At the worst, you're going to spend some time with handcuffs behind your back in the back of a cop car, until they figure out what the deal is. Your attempt at being cool, or looking "JDM", or trying to be different; is just going to cause you problems.
