how do "you" pressure test your cooling system
When i pressure test my system, I usually rent a pressure tester from autozone and put enough pressure in it to match the radiator cap. This is how i check mine becuase i dont want to find a leak after the car has been started.
Would you say this is an accurate way of testing it? I'm asking this because I'm having an issue with an electric water pump leaking with cap pressure to it.

That's an excellent first step in checking the system. I'd remove the thermostat so you can do the check with the system open. Followup tests would include pressure tests after bleeding and at normal operating temp. I'm sure you know how to be careful when running with a coolant leak.
lol, i actually helped the company come up with a better way of testing before they send these pumps out to people so now they can feel confident that a pump isnt going to come back
