I was doing a pull on the highway, went from 3rd to 4th and got up to 135mph. Noticed the check engine light flash but go right off, then I got off the throttle. Everything seemed fine. Drove and sound fine. Next mornig I hear this clicking, like louder than a valve tap. Checked oil, it wa little darker than usual and was a little low. Added the oil. No smoking out the exhaust. Just the loud clicking. I checked the dip stick and there specks on it. It's been to cold to drain the oil to see just how much stuff is in the oil, but def. something on the stick. What could I be looking at?
135 on the highway proves nothing 10.5@135 on the track would be alot more impressive but thats just me
i dnt think he was trying to prove any thing except the fact that he was getting on the car when something happend and the fact that he was not on a track lol (not smart mr )

It idles crappy at startup, then smooths out after it warms up a bit. Like a minute or so. But it was like that b4, because it's so cold here.

yeah, the oil pressure guage is at like 60-70 and stays there even at idle until like 30 mins of driving, then it drops to like 40. And then rises and lowers during driving. The car went from 5w30 to 10w30 too full synthetic.

did i miss something, or did you not post the engine family or car?
Sounds like its in the head, not much is going to tick in the block.Pull the VC and check for visual indicators, most likely you wont see anything so check the valve lash and do a compression test.
Make sure its not an injector, read your plugs

forgot about the CEL, but if the engine is making noise than make sure its mechanicly sound before you worry about the phantom CEL
What managment system?

it finally warmed up enough to get outside and actually pull the valve cover and drain the oil. The oil is a little darker than usual for short amount of time it was in the car. Doesn't really smell like anything but oil. A small amount of stuff on the magnet. No more than usual. So I'm a little optimistic. Getting to to pull the valve coer. The motor is a b18c1 with a b16 head for the guy who asked earlier. I'll keep you all posted on my findings.
you see, doing that 18c block and b16 head, is where you we wrong, im not saying ti was a bad idea, i know EXACTLY what kind of power thats pullin off, you see strokes sooo different, your piston tops are commin so close to thos valves, ide do a full compression check with motor in car befor pulling, i bet theres your problem
