Ive been looking around for the white gauge faces for the cluster. I know they made them in black and white. I have the black. Didnt know if the white are still out there.

They were made by Defi gauges (Nippon Seiki). The only one i could find was for the entire bezel for 150. i just want the OEM white faces by NS.

Basically im wondering where i should be looking. Im assuming that NS does not produce these anymore.

Obviously this is not a performance upgrade, just extra bling, so i appreciate any help!

Would they all be from used cars. Like people parting out cars? Like the one from the craigslist ad i put.

150 for a gauge bezel with oem white gauges is not much in my book. but i dont need the whole thing, just the white OEM NS gauges

 

Get the one in the cl ad then sell me yours!

 

so some SI's come with white gauges ? i just bought a 00 si and they have white gauges and i thought they were aftermarket overlays

 

The US model 99-00 Honda Civic Si NEVER came with a white face gauge option!

 

Deetz knows what he's talking about. The accessories manuals make no mention of optional gauge faces.

 

I think mine are the Nippon Seiki gauges b/c they have the NS on them

 

Are you sure you know what he is talking about? I've seen about 3 cars in the past stock civic si with the white face on them one thing they don't light up from the back of the cluster as the regular black one, they light up from the top so the light shines on it, these came as an option from the factory but the thing i cannot find no writing of info on this, i have verified only trough talking to a tech guy at honda before.

Your tech is wrong.

I have the accessory manuals here. There is NO mention of them at all.

The Si did not come with special options over the other Civics. All the special stuff on them was standard.

Indiglo (or other aftermarket) gauges are fairly common on otherwise stock cars, just like you'll often see aftermarket wheels or altezzas on otherwise stock cars.

 

No fail here buddy... just to clear what others have ask before and see what i can do.

 

I know what your saying I've search and looked into that accessory manual and there's nothing on there. but I know I've seen them, umm well one way to prove they came with white faces also is for me to get some pictures and maybe video??

 

You are fooled by aftermarket overlays.

I have worked for both Honda and Acura over the years. I was in parts. Honda sells replacement parts for everything it makes, even accessories. Although they get discontinued a short time after model year is out of production, there has never been a reference in the HPC- Honda Parts catalogue for any such gauge cluster!

 

Where did you find an accessory manual btw? They're usually thrown out within a few years since there's no sense in keeping photos of accessories you can't even sell anymore.

 

Here's a scan from the oem civic flyer from 1999. The 2000 flyer has the same options....no mention of any cluster options

 

My 99 Civic Si has white gauge faces even has the Si logo on the fuel/temp face, they look the same as this They came with the car when I bought it and right now I am looking for the original black ones.

 

There is nothing oem about that cluster!!

It has a cheap white face overlay kit. I used to sell that junk years back. That picture also has a red bezel cover, also not oem.

It you want black, disassemble what you have, there will be black gauges underneath

 

i'll take one in electron blue, with all the written options, plus those first rims and the cd changer please...

i gotta agree with deetz, i have a set of those "overlays" chillin in a spare parts box. have si written on them and everything.

 

Really? Also my brezel is stock, its just the overlays. I really hope the black ones are underneath cause I really want them instead of the white ones.

 

I would love to see a close up picture of what your cluster looks like right now.

btw, all of the oem clusters will be stamped ND or NS by the mfg

 

Your right they are just lay overs, I have the cluster right now and I am currently removing the white covers! Thanks for the info!

EDIT: Just removed them and looks 100% better.

 

not wanting to bring this back from the dead again but this is exactly how my gauges are in my 00 Si. They have the NS on them and there are three lights that shine on them from the top and not from behind the cluster. Im wondering if this was an option for the SIR canada Si's or something

 

All Honda clusters shine from both behind and on top in front of the gauges

- base model 5 speed no tach


- base model auto no tach


- 5 speed with tach



- auto with tach


- US model Si with tach


- CDN moel SiR with tach

 

I have one but have never seen another, even on the google
