So just a couple days ago the Car started to shutter when I would put it into any gear. Going into gear is fine and the car idles and revs just fine.
Oil is golden, recent oil change, and new plugs/wires.

Is this a clutch issue or something worse in the trans?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

So it turns out to be my dizzy all crusty and what not - cleaned it out with WD40 and let it dry after cleaning off the corrosion which has probably been there since 1988...

Shifts like made and runs smooth now :/ Crazy!
Wonder how much a new distrib would be?

 

Mine does the same thing but only in first, and very very slightly in 2nd.

 

I also bought a can of WD in order to clean ALL the wire connections, which might be something worth doing if you have time.

These engines are so fun to work on, I love them.

What exactly did you clean and how?

I used carb cleaner to clean the contacts to no avail.

However my module was loose so tightened that up.
